A History of Values and Traditions

We were established at the end of the 1800s, initially as a drinking Tavern, “L’Osteria d’Canto’”, owned and run by Antonio Valgimigli.
Since then four generations of the Valgimigli family have handed down the running and restoration of the business: After Antonio and his son Paris, the Tavern was run by Giovanna Ballardini, Paris’ wife when they renamed it “L’Osteria della Morena” (The dark haired Tavern) on account of her jet black hair.

The restaurant is completely refurbished. Here we offer the possibility to taste delicious and succulent, seasonal and traditional dishes on the menu, celebrating the traditional recipes and to participate in one of the numerous themed evenings organised throughout the year. In addition to the large dining room, we offer a smaller, secluded dining area for private dining and functions.

The exterior “Loggia” area is available for charming Receptions such as Holy Communions, Christenings, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Business Dining. Weather allowing, this is the perfect space for small parties, rendered all the more special under the vaulted medievil arched ceiling.

Our Philosophy is recognising the value of great cuisine and local products bringing these qualities to the table, offering dishes of excellence, skilfully combined with the highest quality of local wines.
